Imagine being able to eat your favorite foods this holiday season without guilt, without going overboard, and without fear of gaining weight…

Picture yourself… feeling satisfied, nourished, free of obsession with what you can or can’t eat, and having all the energy you need to complete your holiday preparations with ease and grace. You are present and engaged with the special people in your life, and you are savoring the magical moments of the holidays. Your taste buds are tickled with delight, you trust and appreciate your body, and you feel soul-fed from the inside out. You are radiant!

But right now, you worry that you won’t be able to control yourself in the face of all the holiday food temptations — it’s hard enough the rest of the year. You’ve been here before, and deprivation seems to be your only option, unless you want to eat everything in sight and feel awful come January.

You’ve probably tried the usual strategies like saving up all your calories for holiday occasions so that you have the right to eat, only to find yourself out of control with the food you encounter once you get there.

You’ve tried making rules about what, when, or how much you are allowed to eat.

You’ve sworn off the “bad” foods and vowed to “be good” by only eating the foods sanctioned by the latest magazine article or nutrition expert on TV. Yet time and time again this has led to broken promises and left you feeling guilty and demoralized for your apparent lack of willpower.

You’re not sure how to “have just a little bit” because in the past that’s always led to overeating, maybe even a full-blown binge. So you’ve sat on the sidelines at holiday events, not feeling like you deserve to relax and enjoy what’s being served because you aren’t where you want to be with your body.

And if you have indulged, you’ve had to pay for it by starving or exercising it off the next day. Or maybe you’ve just given up for the holidays and decided to start over AGAIN in January with another diet.

And because you feel like crap about your eating or your body, everything else about the holidays stresses you out SO much more, which makes you feel worse because you know you’re probably not much fun to be around.

You’ve spent too many holiday seasons overstuffed with food but starving for true nourishment & connection.

You’re hungry for something more this year… something that would tickle your taste buds and feed your soul. But deep down you feel embarrassed, ashamed and maybe even envious of others, because as much as you wish you could, you are afraid you just don’t have what it takes to be able to eat normally.

I know how it feels. For over 20 years, the holiday season was like my waking food nightmare. You’d never have known it by looking at me. I was the hostess with the mostest, I often hosted Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas parties, New Years Eve… the whole shebang, and I usually escaped the season without noticeable weight gain. But in truth, come January both my body and my self-esteem were trashed.

You see, I had a shameful little secret. When the party was over, I’d rifle my way through the leftovers, devouring all of the decadent treats that I considered off limits and that I had been resisting or denying myself all day or evening. I lived with a chronic obsession around food, fear of gaining weight, and a relentless rollercoaster of rules and restrictions, until I couldn’t take it anymore and would plummet into a full-blown binge. The next morning I’d awake feeling bloated, guilty and ashamed and I’d swear to “be good.” I’d skip breakfast or lunch, and set up new food rules for the day. Or I’d drag myself to the gym and punish myself for the crime of eating.

And yet, inevitably, I’d be right back to square one the next time I was faced with food – which, during the holidays, is a LOT!

Overall, from Halloween through to New Years, the entire holiday season was a struggle. Rather than enjoy the magic of the season, I was distracted by the constant obsession around food and my body. I certainly wasn’t present to the moment, or to the people in my life. And to be honest it worked pretty well – the truth is I wanted to be distracted – I didn’t WANT to deal with the difficult emotions that the holidays can bring up or the things it’s hard to be with – money stress, complicated family dynamics and relationships, reminders that my life wasn’t living up to many of the dreams I had for myself. It was easier to look in the mirror and criticize my body, or to occupy my mind with food rules and calorie counting.

What I didn’t realize back then was that the very act of restricting and depriving was actually keeping me locked in this cycle. And it’s the same trap that so many other women stay stuck in because they don’t have the information or the support they need to find the escape hatch.

It’s not your fault if you’ve been trying to do everything “right” when it comes to diet and exercise, and yet you are still struggling with unwanted weight or eating habits.

You see, the REAL reason most people struggle, especially during the holiday season, has NOTHING to do with the food and the way through it is not what you might think…

  • It’s NOT about forbidding or depriving yourself of the foods you truly enjoy
  • It’s NOT about eating less (and less, and less and less) and exercising more to force your body into a certain shape
  • It’s NOT about controlling your appetite or adhering to the perfect diet
  • And it’s NOT because you are weak or lack willpower

In fact. the media is ablaze with these kinds of restrictive, anxiety inducing “tips” to prevent holiday overeating and weight gain. But when you think about it, these are the same old tips that DON’T WORK and likely haven’t worked for you the other 11 months of the year, so why would they work now, when there’s twice as much food and stress?

The reason the usual restrict and resist strategies don’t work is twofold:

1) They create fear and anxiety around what to eat, which physiologically drives you to overeat and makes you store more weight

2) They don’t give any consideration to your unique Holiday Eating Style and what would truly support YOU

Your Holiday Eating Style is your unique way of coming to the table. It’s a combination of the lifestyle factors, habits, emotional and environmental triggers that influence how you relate to food. And knowing this is key, because it informs the specific strategies that will support you in making healthy, nourishing choices that you feel good about and that move you toward your goals.

When it comes to our relationship with food, one size does not fit all. When you know your Holiday Eating Style you are able to tune in with not just your body but what your HEART is wanting! And we all know that when we feel more nourished in life, we are much less likely to turn to food for our every need.

Once I personally discovered how to work MY personal eating style rather than against it, that’s when I finally achieved a new freedom with food, AND a body that feels amazing.  And it has worked for my clients, too.

Today I truly do eat what I want. I no longer fear food, and I know how to spot my triggers and partner with my body and soul so that I can eat and enjoy foods I like without fear. And I can proudly and gratefully say that after years of bingeing, restricting, and numbing myself through the holidays (and life in general), my last few holiday seasons have been the most balanced and fulfilling ever.

That’s why I’ve put a special course together for you just for the holidays:

“I’m enjoying food without guilt or judgement!”

I’ve noticed that I am thinking about food differently. I’m much more aware of what I am eating, and I am choosing to eat food that fuels me rather than just grabbing what’s quick and easy. Plus, I am allowing myself to choose foods that give me pleasure, and thoroughly enjoying them without guilt or judgement. As a result I am feel more in tune with my body and actually find myself eating less. I feel as though I have taken off a restrictive corset of guilt and ‘shoulds’, and I’m finally allowing myself to be amazing!

Yvette, Age 39

“I have so much more joy around food in my life!”

Before working with Michelle, every day was a struggle. I agonized over every decision about what to eat and how much. I was so embarrassed about my eating and I would secretly devour sweets, and binge on foods that I craved. To make up for my indulgences, I drove myself to exercise or shamed myself when I didn’t.

I have now stopped binge eating and eating in response to anxiety! Michelle helped me learn how to trust myself and my body, which allowed me to let go of the judgement around what foods are healthy or not. It has allowed me to enjoy food again, and realize what my body is truly needing in the moment. Sometimes this is chocolate, but not always ;). I can now give myself what I truly need and let go of forcing food to fill those gaps in my life.

Laura, age 35

“I didn’t overeat on Thanksgiving, not even a little bit!”

The biggest breakthroughs for me have been finding pleasure again with food, and discovering the art of Awareness!  And I’m not being so hard on myself, I’m learning to start to really see the person I am, both on the inside and the outside. Taking the time to ask myself how I feel, what I want, what I need, and really prioritizing my responsibilities before taking on more is really helping me to feel more relaxed and nourished. For the first time in years I didn’t overeat on Thanksgiving, not even a little bit all weekend!

“It’s a lot more natural and a lot less work!”

This is not a program where “these are the rules.” I’m being tasked with figuring out what actually will work for me and that’s pretty cool. It’s a lot easier to get excited about it, rather than feeling restricted. It’s crazy because it’s a lot more natural and actually a lot less work!

I have had a lot of personal growth from being part of this! I’ve been more gentle with myself and I’m allowing myself to relax. I’m celebrating my power to choose and focusing on empowering myself, and that I can choose to indulge in things without feeling guilty.

Plus, not worrying so much about food or how to fix myself is making room for me to just BE myself. I’m allowing myself to be happy, and it’s a lot less stressful! It really helps to have a coach in this way who knows about this. It is personal stuff, and trying to do it on your own is not actually as supportive as being able to do it and share it. It’s a good thing and it’s helped to keep me on task.

“My clothes fit better and I feel lighter!”

I’ve become aware of just how much damage my negative self-talk has done. Now I’m letting go of old ideas, beliefs and ‘stuff’ that just don’t fit in my life. I am no longer obsessing about food, my clothes fit better, I feel lighter, and I’m enjoying meals with ALL 5 senses, and the sensuality of the food. I could go on and on, this has really been a fun and exciting journey of re-learning for me.  THANK YOU Michelle!!!

Tami, age 50

One thing I want you to consider is exactly how much it’s costing you to stay stuck in old patterns. How much money, time and life energy have you wasted on the same old weight and appetite control strategies that don’t work! Because your health, happiness and purpose are on the line here. And I wouldn’t be doing you any favors if I failed to bring this to your attention right now.

If you’ve been tolerating dieting & deprivation, rules & restriction, and punishing exercise without achieving the results you want; if you’ve been carrying extra weight, unwanted cravings or eating habits; if you’ve spent countless Januarys in a state of damage control and depression… how long are you going to wait to break this cycle?

Here’s some food for thought: Your relationship with food is the longest term relationship you’ll ever have!

Don’t you both deserve a little loving attention?

I invite you to let me help you shift into an experience of possibility, permission and pleasure, and show you how you can finally live and eat fearlessly.

The most important gift you give this season may be the one you give to yourself.

“I’m not letting food take over my life anymore!”

Before I started working with Michelle, I was thinking about food way too much, feeling critical of my body, and pushing myself to the point of exhaustion with exercise I didn’t really enjoy… All this effort and I wasn’t losing the weight I wanted to.

Now I’m more relaxed about food and exercise, I’m letting go of all the stress and rules, and I am aware of how to approach food. I am the one who decides, and I am not letting it take over my life anymore! Before our work together, I believed that if I wasn’t always doing something or exercising every day that I was lazy. Michelle helped me see that slowing down and taking time to nourish myself actually supports my metabolism AND gives me more peace and balance in my life. By prioritizing my wellbeing, I feel like life is lightening up, and I am lightening up! This has been a wonderful experience. I now know that I have the ability and power to make my life and my relationship with food and my body the way I want it to be. Thank you so much, Michelle, for leading me on my journey of self-discovery.  I will forever be grateful.
